Hi, I'm Magdalena
I founded Mansorah Atelier in 2017 to finance my studies in social anthropology. All my products are designed and handcrafted by me. After graduating in 2021, I finally decided to follow my heart and make Mansorah Atelier my full-time job. I was born and raised in Bavaria, Germany, and have had a passion for diaries, calendars, and stationery since childhood. Growing up around horses, leather and leather care have also always played a significant role in my life. When I first learned about the Travelers Notebook System in 2015, I quickly began making my own, fairly simple, leather versions.
For me, the joy of craftsmanship lies in the fact that one never stops learning and perfecting one's art. Every new piece is unique and deserves to be made with respect and care.
You can contact me in German and English.

My materials
Every great product begins with the materials. For my work, I exclusively use vegetable-tanned, full-grain leather, which only becomes more beautiful with time and use. I combine this with solid brass fittings that age along with the leather, developing a beautiful patina.

How I work
Every product you can buy on my website is handmade by me. My handbags and notebook covers are cut by hand, then hand-stitched with a durable saddle stitch, and I pay great attention to the small details that complete the finished product.

What I stand for
My goal is to practice my craft in the same way as many traditional leatherworkers before me. I work with simple, often improvised tools and the highest quality materials to create a durable, high-quality product.
The name
Mansorah Atelier is named after my wonderful horse Almansor.
